SACRAMENTO – On the Big Spin show this week, three contestants had the chance to play the Fantasy 5 Dream Machine while another tried his luck at the Big Spin wheel after playing Aces High. The show aired statewide Saturday, May 12, 2007. This week a total of $177,500 was won by Big Spin players!
Three contestants took their chances at the Fantasy 5 Dream Machine. First up, John Woods of Gardena, who won $75,000, has great plans for his windfall. Woods, a world traveler, has visited such places as Germany, Rome
and London and is going to make his next trip a big one, he’s traveling to Africa! Next up, James “Larry” Tomlinson of Gustine is definitely going to take a cruise to Alaska with his $30,000 win. Last but not least, Doris Buchanan from Lompoc earned $25,000 and plans to visit relatives in West Virginia.
Haseeb Heyasi from Fremont beat out nine other contestants in Aces High and got his chance to spin the big prize wheel. Winning $25,000, Heyasi, would like to do some traveling as well. “I’ll have to think about where I would like to go, there are so many places I would like to visit,” he said.

Public education in California receives at least 34 cents of every dollar players spend on Lottery products. The California Lottery contributed a record $1.28 billion to public education in 2005-06 out of historic sales of $3.58 billion, the sixth year in a row the Lottery has provided more than $1 billion in supplemental funding for education. Since the Lottery began in 1985, it has contributed more than $18 billion to California schools.
