SACRAMENTO - On The Big Spin show this week, two contestants had the chance to win up to $3,000,000 spinning the Big Spin prize wheel while another got to try his luck at Fantasy 5 Dream Machine. A total of $147,500 was given away on this week’s show. The show aired statewide Saturday, April 28, 2007.
Who would have thought that going to the store to buy your pregnant wife some ginger ale to calm her morning sickness would land you a spot on The Big Spin show? Well this is what happened to Chris Barnes from San Ramon. While at the store he bought a Big Spin Scratchers® ticket on a whim, only to uncover a Spin-Spin-Spin, sending him straight to the Big Spin wheel. He walked away with $25,000! “With another baby on the way, I think I’ll start a
college fund for them,” said Barnes.
Cathy Escalante from Los Banos outplayed nine other contestants in Aces High in two elimination rounds to get to the Big Spin wheel. She wasn’t thinking of what she’ll do for herself with her $75,000 win but rather what she’ll do for her two sons and ten grandchildren. “My grandson needs a new car. They will all get something special,” said Escalante.
Michael Cannata from Canyon Country played Fantasy 5 Dream Machine this week and won $25,000! With his winnings he would like to help his daughter pay for college and possibly take a cruise to Alaska.
