SACRAMENTO – California Lottery officials today announced that while no tickets sold in California matched all six MEGA Millions numbers for the $370 million jackpot, nine MEGA Millions second tier prizes worth a total of $2,180,088 were won in Tuesday’s historic draw. Two MEGA Millions jackpot winning tickets were sold in Georgia and New Jersey. Nine tickets in California matched five numbers for prizes worth $242,232 each. The winning numbers were 16, 22, 29, 39, 42 and the MEGA number was 20.

But even if you didn’t match the five of five, 1,043,862 tickets in California won prizes totaling $7,001,451 so check your numbers carefully, you still might be a winner!
Californians have won four MEGA Millions jackpots since the game was first introduced in June of 2005. In November 2005, the largest jackpot to date in the history of California was won when seven lucky players shared a MEGA Millions jackpot worth $315 million!
