SACRAMENTO – Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to buy that car you’ve always wanted? How about putting a down payment on a house? Maybe even do some home improvements? Well that’s what some Big Spin show contestants are going to do with their winnings. The show aired statewide Saturday, December 16, 2006.
The Fantasy 5 Dream Machine was on a roll with two contestants winning a total of $160,000! George Sanders, a construction worker from Long Beach, won $85,000. Sanders, a father of four, can’t wait to buy a brand new 2007 Suburban. “My wife wants to re-model the bathroom,” smiled Sanders. Luckily his prize is enough to do both! Clara Boyles, a homemaker from Bakersfield, walked away with $75,000. “I would like to paint my home and maybe do some repairs,” said Boyles. She also would like to start a college fund for her grandchildren. What a great investment!
After only being retired for one year, Joseph Roe from Long Beach went back to what he loves, being a truck driver. “I was going crazy being home 
everyday,” said Roe. Not only does he drive the truck, so does his wife and has been for the last eight years! Roe was very excited when he won $75,000 at the Big Spin wheel. They plan to take a long vacation to Chicago to be with their children and are going to buy a Cadillac Escalade. They will definitely be riding in luxury!
Placido Vargas, a construction worker from Santa Rosa, is no stranger to The Big Spin show. Last year, he won $30,000 after going directly to the wheel. This time Vargas had to outplay nine other contestants in Aces High before he could spin the Big Spin wheel giving him a $75,000 win! Married and a father of three children, Vargas would love to buy his family a home. What a great Christmas gift!
