What Does Winning $80,000 Mean?  Spoil the Grandchildren!

Giraldo FuentesSACRAMENTO – The energy contestants had on this week’s The Big Spin® show was contagious.  With players winning $352,500 in cash prizes, how could you not be excited?  Three people got their chance to win big playing the Fantasy 5 Dream Machine while another person outplayed nine other Aces High contestants to get their chance to spin for up to $3 million.  The show aired statewide Saturday, December 9, 2006.

Gildardo Fuentes, a truck driver from Beaumont, won $100,000 at The Big Spin wheel.  His plan to re-model his house is now full speed ahead!  He’ll be taking a couple of weeks off to fix up his home and do some Christmas shopping.  Fuentes knows he’ll have a great time spending his money!

Our Fantasy 5 Dream Machine contestants included Joan Adams, an office manager from Seaside.  She was so overcome by just being on the show that she could hardly control herself.  After hugging everyone in sight and doing a little dance, she won $80,000!  What are her plans for her windfall?  She’s going to spoil her grandchildren.  Joan Adams“Parents give them what they need, I’m going to give them what they want,” said Adams.  Their list includes a laptop, stereo and a shopping spree!  Next was Ben Wooten, a retired postal employee from Antelope.  He wants to take a cruise with his $75,000 win.  “I think Jamaica. My children are all grown and gone so it’s going to be a twosome,” said Wooten, referring to himself and his wife.  They’ll have a great vacation!  Last but not least was Barbara Bell, an accountant from Santa Ana.  She is an old pro at winning.  She once won $1,600 playing SuperLOTTO Plus!  This time Bell’s win was much bigger than that, she won a whopping $75,000 playing Dream Machine.  She’s going to tie up some loose ends and save the rest of her money.  Sounds like she has a definite plan!
