Retirement is Sweet for an Aces High Player who won $100,000

Samuel GreenSACRAMENTO – There’s a chill in the air, but not at The Big Spin® show where the contestants were on a hot streak, winning a total of $267,500. The show aired statewide Saturday, November 25, 2006.  “Retirement” was the theme for all but one of the big winners this week, a loan officer who plans on retiring one day, just not yet.

Samuel Green, a retiree from Perris, has three daughters and seven grandchildren.  Not only is Green his last name but it is also his favorite color, proven by the $100,000 he won spinning the largest prize wheel in the world.  Green earned this right after outplaying nine other contestants in Aces High.  “I plan on paying off each of my daughter’s homes and spoiling my grandchildren,” said Green.  What a sweet man!

Three Dream Machine contestants did Thomas Smiththeir best to break the bank and won a combined $145,000 playing the Dream Machine.  First up was Thomas Smith, aka “Rick”, from San Diego, who has big plans for his winnings of $70,000.  Smith, a loan officer, said, “I want to buy a new car and take a cruise to Panama.”  It looks like he’ll have enough money to do both!  At first, Pea Fua, another retiree from South San Francisco, was not quite sure what he’ll do with his winnings.  After all the balls were in their slots he had won $65,000!  When asked again what he would do with the money he said, “I’m going to spend it.”  Good answer from such a soft spoken man!  Barbara Wing, a retiree from Stanton, was very excited when she won $10,000 on the Fantasy 5 Dream Machine.  “I want to help others; I’m buying a friend a brand new television, taking a vacation and saving the rest!”  Her friend will surely be grateful!
