SACRAMENTO – The Big Spin® Show served as a “Field of Dreams” this week, highlighting three Fantasy 5 Dream Machine players who won a total of $240,000. In addition, a lucky spinner also won $60,000, making the total winnings on this week’s show more than $300,000. The Big Spin Show aired statewide September 30, 2006.
First up at the Fantasy 5 Dream Machine was Isabelo Del Bando, a retiree from Cerritos. The 83 year old joked that he would buy a set of new tires for his Ford Fairlane with his $60,000 prize, illustrating the fact that he is quite a kidder, because he hasn’t owned the car for many years. The next contestant was truck driver and cancer survivor Emma Brown of Victorville
who won $95,000. Brown only recently decided to become a truck driver to spend more time with her husband, also a truck driver. “Now that all the kids are grown, we can spend time together and travel,” explained Brown, who plans on taking a cruise with her prize. Next up was Craig Banuelos, a PG&E representative from King City who won $85,000. He plans to take a vacation and pay off his home remodeling loan.
The only lucky spinner of the show, Roberto Lechuga, of Daly City, is $60,000 richer after outplaying nine other contestants on Aces High to spin The Big Spin wheel. The custodian plans to buy a home, pay off bills and send his son to college with his newfound wealth.
