SACRAMENTO - The California State Lottery just can’t stop giving away money as contestants won a total $322,500 on "The Big Spin®" Show which aired statewide on Saturday, July 15.
Margie Harris, a retired teacher from Los Angeles is no stranger to the Big Spin Show. Last month, she won $5,000 playing Aces High and this time she went straight to the big wheel after uncovering "Spin-Spin-Spin" on her Big Spin Scratchers ticket. In her encore appearance, Harris spun the big wheel, landing on a triple to give her a $150,000 payday. With her impressive win, Harris plans to start a youth leadership program and take a trip that will carry her through the Caribbean and Africa.
One contestant played the Fantasy 5 Dream Machine, David Myers, a delivery driver from Rialto. Myers cashed in to the tune of $75,000 in prize money. He plans to travel to Costa Rica to check out the rainforest and then head to Europe, all courtesy of the "Dream Machine."
In Aces High, Gustavo Martinez, a restaurant worker from Inglewood, outlasted nine other players to earn a spin on the big wheel. He used the opportunity to win a $75,000 prize, which he plans to put towards a new house.
