SACRAMENTO – The Fourth of July has come and gone, and some lucky winner is $110 million richer thanks to SuperLOTTO Plus®, but that doesn’t mean the California State Lottery has stopped giving away money as contestants won a total of $147,500 on The Big Spin show which aired statewide on July 8.
Sonja Clark from San Jose is the mother of five and grandmother of eight. While not a regular lottery player, on a whim, Clark bought two Big Spin Scratchers, uncovering SPIN-SPIN-SPIN on one of
them and earning a trip directly to the big wheel. Clark put her good luck to use and won an impressive $100,000. Not bad at all considering her $2 investment to get there. With her prize, Clark plans to spoil her grandchildren and take the entire family on an all expenses paid vacation. If she wasn’t before, we’re sure this will make her everyone’s favorite grandma.
In Aces High, Sharon Henry, a nurse from Los Angeles, outlasted nine other players to earn a spin on the big wheel. She used the opportunity to win a $25,000 prize which she plans to use for a much needed vacation cruise to the Bahamas.
