SACRAMENTO – California Lottery officials announced that no one matched all 6 numbers from last Friday night’s MEGA Millions draw making tonight’s draw worth $265 million.
“This is the sixth highest jackpot in MEGA Millions history,” said Cathy Doyle Johnston, California State Lottery. “What a great way to kick off spring!”
Since MEGA Millions began, there have been three MEGA Millions jackpots won in California, including the historic $315 million jackpot won on November 15, 2005. With all prizes combined, California has sold more than 9.7 million winning MEGA Millions tickets resulting in total winnings of $488 million. California schools receive at least 34% of all lottery sales and have benefited by more than $1 billion annually from the California State Lottery for the past five consecutive years.
