SACRAMENTO - While it’s not yet the Fourth of July, the fireworks were already going off as California State Lottery contestants won a total of $287,500 on The Big Spin Show airing statewide on July 1.
On the Fantasy 5 Dream Machine, two contestants vied for the top prize of $150,000. Richard Reimer, a postal carrier from Van Nuys, started July off on the right foot by winning $100,000 on the "Dream Machine." With his prize, Reimer intends to visit his accountant and take a lavish cruise to Europe. Adelina Duran, a teacher’s aide from Lakewood, continued the winning ways by earning $65,000 in prize money. She plans to use at least part of her prize on a glitzy shopping spree.
Marina Gutierrez, a housewife from Stockton, brought her whole family to the show and gave them quite a thrill as she outplayed nine other Aces High contestants to earn a spin on the big wheel. The $60,000 prize she walked away with will come in handy as she plans to take her family on a Hawaiian vacation and help her church.
Gagik Arutyunyan, a truck driver from Glendale, spun his way to $40,000 on the big wheel. A frequent lottery player, Arutyunyan plans to use his winnings to help start his own trucking company.
