SACRAMENTO - California State Lottery players won a total of $242,500 on "The Big Spin®" show that aired statewide Saturday, June 3, 2006.
Playing the Aces High game this week was Steven Stewart, a pharmacist from North Highlands, who outplayed nine other contestants to win $75,000 on the big wheel. He plans to pay-off some bills, and take a big vacation either to Cancun or on a cruise somewhere. With that kind of money, why not do both?
Three contestants took their shot at a top prize of $150,000 on this week’s "Fantasy 5 Dream Machine." Timothy Gray, a retiree from Chula Vista was a return contestant, having already won $150,000 on the "Dream Machine" in 1999. The $70,000 prize he won will definitely help him spoil his 8 grandchildren. Louis Figueroa, from Covina, thought that his job working security on the red carpet at this years Academy Awards was the highlight of his life. That was until he won $50,000 on the "Dream Machine" this weekend. He plans to travel across the country on historic Route 66 with his winnings. Patricia Valenzuela, a bank teller from Montebello watched her father play the "Dream Machine" in 2002. Now it was her turn, and she made the most of it, taking home $25,000 which she plans to use to take her family to Hawaii.
