SACRAMENTO - California Lottery players won a total of $337,500 on "The Big Spin®" show that aired statewide Saturday, May 20, 2006.
Three contestants took their shot at a top prize of $150,000 on this week’s "Fantasy 5 Dream Machine." Hoat Lie, a cook from Richmond was this week’s top winner, walking away with $95,000 in prize money. She plans to pay her son’s student loans and save up for her retirement. Thomas Smith from Weldon is no stranger to the "Dream Machine" having won $20,000 on it in 1997. This time around, he improved his winning significantly, walking away with $75,000, which he plans to use to take his wife on a luxury cruise. Rania Seoud, a retailer from Morgan Hill, has lots of plans for her $70,000 prize. She is going to use part of it to remodel her home and take her family on a Hawaiian vacation, while the rest will be put toward her children’s educations.
In Ace’s High, David Neal, a corporate manager from Santa Barbara, outplayed nine other contestants to spin the big wheel, winning $75,000 after he landed on a triple space.
