This is the third time MEGA Millions reaches a jackpot over $200 million since the game started last June. Tickets for the $256 million jackpot to be drawn on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. are on sale at 18,500 retail locations throughout the state. Friday’s MEGA Millions drawing produced nearly 400,000 winners who won more than $2.6 million in prizes. It may take winners a lifetime to spend the $256 million up for grabs this Tuesday, February 28, 2006 but it only costs $1 dollar for a chance to play MEGA Millions. MEGA Millions players pick five numbers from 1 to 56 and one MEGA number from a field of numbers from 1 to 46. Matching all numbers wins the MEGA jackpot prize. Winners of the MEGA Millions jackpot have 60 days to decide if they want their prize as a lump sum or paid in 26 equal annual installments.
