MEGA Millions Jackpot Soars to $267 Million!

SACRAMENTO — The MEGA Millions jackpot has grown to $267 million.  “Players all over our state and the other 11 MEGA Millions states are extremely excited about this jackpot, currently the largest in the nation,” said Director of Communications Lezlie Puglia.

With the drawing scheduled for tonight at 8pm, tickets for the $267 million jackpot are on sale at 18,500 retail locations throughout the state.  Check the Lottery’s website for a retailer location near you.

MEGA Millions players pick five numbers from 1 to 56 and one MEGA number from a field of numbers from 1 to 46.  Matching all numbers wins the MEGA jackpot prize.  Winners of the MEGA Millions jackpot have 60 days to decide if they want their prize as a lump sum or paid in 26 equal annual installments.  For a $267 million jackpot, annual payments would be more than $10 million a year for 26 years (before federal taxes).
