California’s Newest Millionaires Win $88 Million Jackpot Playing MEGA Millions

Virginia & Victor Andujo, California's newest MEGA Millionaires!Victor Andujo didn’t know his luck was about to change when he decided to buy a one dollar MEGA Millions ticket in the last week of 2005. And he couldn’t believe his eyes when he visited the store where he bought his ticket—Garfield Liquor on Whittier Blvd. in Montebello to check his numbers.  There they were, all of the numbers he had on his single ticket, 14, 20, 25, 40, 44 and MEGA ball 37.

Andujo and his wife Virginia had fallen upon hard times this past year, both having lost their jobs and struggling to make ends meet.  Virginia said weeping, “It’s a dream that this happened.” What will they do with their windfall?  “We’ve dreamt of having a house with wood floors, a Jacuzzi, and a swimming pool,” said Virginia.  She continued, “We never thought this would happen, we don’t have to worry about bills anymore, and we’re going to buy our family whatever they want so they don’t have to worry.”  Victor also plans to open a family restaurant.

“I can’t explain it and I never thought it would happen,” said Andujo.  “But it did and I’m going to be responsible and help build-up my church. We’re going to live comfortably from now on.” The Andujos plan to take the cash option and will receive about $25 million each before taxes.
