For the first time since MEGA Millions was introduced in California, lottery players will have a chance to play for a jackpot over $300 million. Also, since the game kicked off in California on June 22, 2005, more than $28.5 million in prizes have been won by 4,168,270 winning tickets. Friday’s MEGA Millions drawing produced nearly 200,000 winners who won $1.4 million in prizes. Two players won the second tier prize, each ticket being worth $236,204. Those tickets were sold at a Mobil station in Valencia and a 7-Eleven in Lomita.
