SACRAMENTO - California State Lottery players were excited to win a total of $305,000 on The Big Spin® show that aired Saturday, December 10, 2005.
From the first group of ten contestants to play Aces High, Isabel Garcia, a bookkeeper from Fontana, was the lucky winner who moved on to the wheel and won BIG! The fun began when Ms. Garcia spun the wheel and struck a TRIPLE spoke. Then on her second spin, the ball landed in the $50,000 slot making her $150,000 richer! "I can’t believe it," said Garcia. "Now I can pay bills, save for my child’s education, buy a car for my mother and go on vacation to Italy!" Garcia purchased her lucky ticket at 7-Eleven in Brea
When ten more Aces High contestants competed, Helena Vickery from Burbank emerged victorious with an opportunity to spin the wheel. Ms. Vickery bought her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at DeSoto Plaza Liquor & Market in Canoga Park and spun the wheel for $40,000. The experience was exciting and fun, said Vickery. "I plan to help with my grandkids college fund and travel to Australia."
The sole Fantasy 5 Dream Machine player was Bette McCarron, a daycare provider from Newhall, who was happy to win $70,000. Ms. McCarron bought her Fantasy 5 tickets at Oak Tree Liquor. "I plan to help my family with my winnings", said McCarron. "I had lots of fun!"
