$170 Million Jackpot Swells to Record-Breaking Levels -- MEGA Millions Fever Sweeps the Nation

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – From New York to Hollywood lotto players are dreaming of the possibility of winning a $170 million jackpot!  Owning a fleet of Harley Davidson motorcycles, playing golf everyday at Pebble Beach or buying a beach house in Malibu are just a few California dreams.

“Players are having the time of their lives dreaming about winning this jackpot and how they would spend it,” said Acting Director Chon Gutierrez. “After all it’s only $1 to play and already more than $5.6 million in prizes have been paid out to 888,221 California MEGA Millions players!”

The winning numbers from Tuesday’s draw were 7, 13, 48, 51, 54, and MEGA 11 and resulted in the jackpot rolling to $170 million -- making it the second largest jackpot in the 20-year history of the California State Lottery.
