SACRAMENTO – As the summer comes to an end, the  California State Lottery is in the middle of a MEGA Millions heat wave, with $131 million up for grabs.  “What a perfect way to wrap up the summer than by winning this jackpot,” said Rosa Escutia, Public Relations/Communications Director for the California State Lottery.  “Just imagine everything you can say when asked…so, what did you do this summer!”

A single winner of $131 million would receive equal payments of more than $5 million a year (before taxes) for the next 26 years.  A retailer who sells a winning ticket worth $131 million would receive a bonus of $655,000 for selling the winning ticket.
