SACRAMENTO – California Lottery players were excited to win a total of $202,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, September 17, 2005.
Carl Pruett, Sr., a retiree from La Habra was the first contestant on this week’s show to win at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine.” Pruett won $85,000 in 2002 and $95,000 in 2003 playing the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine.” In his return to the show for a third time, he won $65,000. “I’m going to use this money to remodel my home,” said Pruett. He buys his Fantasy 5 tickets at The Liquory in Whittier.
Continuing the excitement at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Dennis Lam from Suisun City who also won $65,000. “I’m going use this money for a nice vacation to Hawaii,” said Lam. He purchased his tickets at Albertsons in Suisun City.
Lori Sandoval, a teacher from Riverside had her mother, Bessie Porsche play in her place in the “Aces High” round. Ms. Porsche won the opportunity to spin the wheel. She spun the wheel and won her daughter $30,000. “My mother did an awesome job! I’m going to share my winnings with my family,” said Sandoval.
Ending the show was Traci Boles, a supermarket employee from American Canyon purchased a Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Flyer’s in Napa and uncovered Spin-Spin-Spin which earned her a direct trip to the wheel. Ms. Boles won $30,000 and said, “Being on the show was an exciting experience.” She plans to help out her mother with her winnings.
