SACRAMENTO – Twenty-one California Lottery players from across the state combined their luck to win $180,000 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, August 13, 2005.
From the first group of ten contestants to play “Aces High,” Lucille Lescher, a homemaker from La Crescenta won the opportunity to spin the wheel. Lescher spun the wheel for $75,000 and said, “The experience of being on the show was totally awesome!” Lescher plans to go on a cruise with her winnings and she purchased her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Foothill Liquor in La Crescenta.
When ten more “Aces High” contestants competed, Jaime Ceballos, a waste management worker from San Lorenzo emerged victorious with an opportunity to spin the wheel. Ceballos, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Automall Parkway Shell, spun the wheel for $30,000 and said, “I plan to pay my college tuition with my winnings.”
The sole “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” player was Edward Bilic, a rancher from Canoga Park, who was happy to win $30,000. Bilic, who bought his Fantasy 5 tickets at Village Mart in Camarillo, said, “I’m going use my winnings towards my daughter’s college education.”
