Contestants Win a Total of $352,500 on “The Big Spin®” Show

Martin RowlandSACRAMENTO – California Lottery players were excited to win a total of $352,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, July 16, 2005.

Martin Rowland a truck driver from Stockton was one of three contestants on this week’s show to play “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine.”  After winning $115,000, Rowland said he plans on spending his Lottery winnings by buying his wife a new car and remodeling his home.  He purchased his tickets at Save Mart in Stockton.

Continuing the excitement at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Meroojan Ahoon, an office worker from San Jose who won $75,000.  “I’ll use this money for my son’s college education,” said Ahoon.  He purchased his tickets at The Winerack Cahalan in San Jose.

Wrapping up the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” excitement was Nicasio Perez from San Francisco who won $60,000.  “I had a great time! I plan to take my family to Cuba with my winnings,” said Perez.  He purchased his tickets at Jim’s Market in San Francisco.

Timo CamposTimo Campos, a mechanic from Sutter Creek was the contestant who won the opportunity to spin the wheel from the “Aces High” round.  Campos, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at The Bottle Shop in Jackson, spun the wheel for $50,000.  “I’m speechless! It was awesome to have been on a television show,” said Campos.

Bringing the show to a climatic finish was Edmund Grendzinski, a retiree from Perris who spun the wheel to win $30,000.  Grendzinski, who purchased his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Woodcrest Liquor in Riverside, uncovered Spin-Spin-Spin which earned him a direct trip to the wheel. “I’m thankful and happy with my win,” said Grendzinski.
