California is the 12th state to join MEGA Millions, along with Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
Known for its mega-sized jackpots, MEGA Millions holds the North American record for the most colossal jackpot ever won at $363 million. The first MEGA Millions ticket was sold in August 1996. |
