Contestants Win a Total of $357,500 on “The Big Spin®” Show

Ricardo BenitezSACRAMENTO – California Lottery players were excited to win a total of $357,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, June 25, 2005.

Opening the show was Ricardo Benitez, a warehouse worker from San Diego who spun the wheel to win $150,000!  Benitez who purchased his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at J + J Market in San Diego, uncovered Spin-Spin-Spin which earned him a direct trip to the wheel. “I’m so excited!  Now I can afford to buy a house,” said Benitez.

Joe Flores, a mail carrier from South Gate, was one of three contestants on this week’s show to play “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine.”  After winning $65,000, Flores said he plans on spending his Lottery winnings by taking his wife on a vacation to Cabo San Lucas. He purchased his tickets at 7-Eleven in South Gate.

Continuing the excitement at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Roy Archer, a retiree from Fresno, who won $55,000.  “I’m thankful and happy with my win,” said Archer.  He purchased his tickets at Buy Rite Liquors in Fresno.

Sean RumbolzWrapping up the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” excitement was Maria Villanueva from El Monte who won $25,000.  “I had a great time! I plan to go to Rome with my winnings,” said Villanueva.  She purchased her tickets at Albertsons in Arcadia.

Bringing the show to a climatic finish was Sean Rumbolz, an electrician from Bellflower, who won the opportunity to spin the wheel from the “Aces High” round.  Rumbolz, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at San Gabriel Shell in San Gabriel, spun the wheel for $40,000.  “I’m speechless! It was awesome to have been on a television show,” said Rumbolz.
