SACRAMENTO – Twenty-one California Lottery players from across the state combined their luck to win $185,000 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, June 18, 2005.
The sole “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” player was Gillian Bailey, a school teacher from Sacramento, who was happy to win $65,000. Ms. Bailey, who bought her Fantasy 5 tickets at Eddie’s Drive-In Liquors in Oakland, said, “I’m going to go back school and get my doctorate degree with my winnings.”
From the first group of ten contestants
to play “Aces High,” Dale Marsh, a machinist from Sunnyvale won the opportunity to spin the wheel. Marsh spun the wheel for $50,000 and said, “The experience of being on the show was totally awesome!” Marsh plans to buy a truck with his winnings and he purchased his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Al’s Liquor in Sunnyvale.
When ten more “Aces High” contestants competed, Ken Adams, a correctional officer from Santa Margarita emerged victorious with an opportunity to spin the wheel. Adams, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Margarita Plaza Liquor, spun the wheel for $25,000 and said, “My wife and I plan to do some traveling with my winnings.”
