SACRAMENTO – California Lottery players were excited to win a total of $237,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, June 4, 2005.
Opening the show was Bill Sandusky, a sound technician from Van Nuys, who was one of three contestants on this week’s show to play the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine.” After winning $60,000, Sandusky said, “It was pretty cool to have experienced being in a television show.” He purchased his tickets at Short Stop in Van Nuys.
Continuing the excitement at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Ron Mellan, a retiree from Torrance, who also won $60,000. “I was exited when I found out that I was going to be on the show! I’m going to buy a new car with my winnings,” said Mellan. He purchased his tickets at 7-Eleven in Torrance.
Wrapping up the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” excitement was Juanita Gonzales from Culver City who won $20,000. “I had a great time! I plan to go on a cruise with my winnings,” said Gonzales. She purchased her tickets at Five Star Food Mart in Los Angeles.

Bringing the show to a climatic finish was Irene Wagner, a retiree from Aptos, who won the opportunity to spin the wheel from the “Aces High” round. Wagner, who bought her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Garden Liquor in Santa Cruz, spun the wheel for $50,000. “I’m speechless, it’s so exciting!
