Contestants Win a Total of $210,000 on “The Big Spin®” Show

Harry ShillSACRAMENTO – Twenty-one California Lottery players from across the state combined their luck to win $210,000 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, March 12, 2005.

The first player to challenge the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Henry “Harry” Shill, a physician recruiter from Monterey. Shill plays Fantasy 5 at a Nic’s Mini Market in Monterey. “My family and I had fun and I hope to return to the show,” he said after winning $50,000. Shill plans to invest his money towards his retirement.

Finishing the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” segment was Richard “Dick” Johnson, a retiree from Santa Rosa. Johnson, who won $45,000, bought his ticket at Holiday Quality Foods in Palo Cedro, and plans to invest his winnings in real estate.

Johnnie ConnerFrom the first group of ten contestants to play “Aces High,” Johnnie Conner, Jr. from Oakland won the right to spin the wheel. Conner, a technical support person, spun the wheel for $40,000 and said, “Spinning the wheel was a rush!” Conner plans to go on vacation to Brazil with his winnings. Conner purchased his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at G.N.G. Liquor & Deli in San Francisco.

When ten more “Aces High” contestants competed, Francisco Madrigal, a production planner from Burbank emerged victorious with an opportunity to spin the wheel. Madrigal, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Vista Liquor in Burbank, spun the wheel for $30,000 and said, “I plan to travel and pay bills with my winnings.”
