SACRAMENTO – California Lottery players from across the state won a total of $125,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, January 22, 2005.
This week “The Big Spin®” show introduced a new and exciting promotional game called “Cash Match,” where contestants have a chance to win a minimum cash prize of $1,000 to a maximum of $25,000. The first of two contestants on the “Cash Match” game was Troy Barret, a technician from Sacramento who won $2,000. The other contestant was Kathy Palone an accountant from Salinas who was pleased to go home with $1,000. The game’s grand finale will be after six different “Cash Match” games are played and the player with the highest number wins the $25,000 jackpot.
Brenda Rincon from Paramount spun the wheel for her husband Fernando Rincon who purchased his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Liquor & Food in San Jose and uncovered Spin-Spin-Spin when he scratched it. After spinning the largest lottery wheel in the world, Mrs. Rincon won $75,000, and said, “It was awesome to spin the wheel and we plan to buy a home with our winnings.”
Bringing this week’s show to exhilarating finish in the “Aces High” game was Christopher Greene, a casino employee from Susanville, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Susanville Supermarket in Susanville and won $25,000.
