SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $247,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Rochelle “Bunny” Williams, a foster parent from Highland, who was greatful to win $75,000. Ms. Williams, who buys her tickets at Cee Vee’s Liquor in Highland, said, “I’m going
to take an awesome vacation to Mexico.” The second player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Manuelita Saligo, a certified nurse from San Francisco who won $65,000. Ms. Saligo, who bought her ticket at Mid City Market in Daly City, plans to travel to the Philippines with her winnings.
Finishing the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” lucky streak was Elizabeth Osburn, a teacher from Vacaville. Ms. Osburn, who won $45,000, bought her ticket at Vacaville U-Save Liquors in Vacaville, and plans to pay bills and go on a long vacation with her winnings.
From the “Aces High” round, Haidi Kassamanian, a Glendale resident, won the right to spin the wheel. Kassamanian is no stranger to good fortune. In May of 2000, he won $70,000 on the Fantasy 5 Dream Machine. Kassamanian, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Von’s Grocery in Montrose, spun the wheel for $40,000. “This is wonderful! Now I can afford to pay off my car,” said Kassamanian.
