Seaside woman wins $1 Million on “The Big Spin®” Show

SACRAMENTO – California Lottery players from across the state won a total of $1,115,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, December 4, 2004.

Aurelia Macias from Seaside was the lucky Spin-Spin-Spin contestant to win BIG! The fun began when Ms. Macias, a waitress, spun the wheel and the ball landed in the $1 million slot…making her California’s latest millionaire! Macias said, “This is unbelievable! Last night, I told my husband that I was going to win big…and it actually happened!” Macias will continue to shop at the La Morenita in Seaside where she bought her lucky ticket and plans to pay off her home and share the wealth with her family.

The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Roger Elliott, a salesman from Lakewood, who was grateful to win $55,000. Elliott purchased his ticket at John’s Liquor in Lakewood. Elliott plans to use his winnings towards a vacation at Pebble Beach. Finishing the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” lucky streak was Jesse Oliver, a police officer from Los Angeles. Oliver, who bought his ticket at Bluebird Liquor in Hawthorne, won $10,000 in prize money and plans to go on a long cruise with his winnings.

From the “Aces High” round, Rheba Highducheck, a Glendora resident won the right to spin the wheel. Ms. Highducheck, who bought her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Rima Grocery & Deli in Covina, spun the wheel for $30,000. “This is wonderful! Now I can afford to travel,” said Highducheck.
