SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $347,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
From the “Aces High” round, Ed Patzwald, a cement finisher from Sacramento won the right to spin the wheel. Patzwald, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Court Liquor in Sacramento, spun the wheel for $180,000! “This is great, now I can help out my church and my friends,” said Patzwald.
The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Carl Lister, a retiree from Calimesa, who was very happy to win $65,000. Lister plans “to runaway” with his lovely wife on a dream vacation with the winnings from the ticket he purchased at C & H Liquors in Yucaipa. The last player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Frank Froschauer, a retiree from Torrance who won $60,000. Froschauer, who never dreamed he would contestant on the show, bought his ticket at a Ralph’s Grocery in Torrance. He plans to pay off bills with his winnings and take a long awaited vacation.
Indelisa Rocha from Fresno purchased her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at West Belmont Market in Fresno and uncovered “Spin-Spin-Spin” when she scratched it. After spinning the largest prize wheel in the world and winning $20,000, Ms. Rocha said, “I will share my winnings with my family while enjoying a much deserved family cruise vacation.”
