SACRAMENTO – Twenty-one California Lottery players from across the state combined their luck to win $200,000 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, October 30, 2004.
The only player to challenge the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Marty Elman, a television production specialist from Van Nuys. Elman plays Fantasy 5 at a Tori Liquor in Van Nuys. “It was awesome to have appeared on the show and win this much money,” he said after winning $75,000. Elman plans to invest his money towards his retirement.
From the first group of ten contestants to play “Aces High,” Albert Madrid from San Martin won the right to spin the wheel. Mr. Madrid, a laborer, spun the wheel for $40,000 and said, “Spinning the wheel was a rush!” Madrid plans to go on vacation with his winnings. Madrid purchased his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at a 7-Eleven in Gilroy.
When ten more “Aces High” contestants competed, Michelle Langmack, an administrator from Magalia emerged victorious. Langmack, who bought her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at More For Less in Magalia, spun the wheel for $40,000 and said, “I plan to use my winnings towards a down payment on a home.”
