Contestants on “The Big Spin®” Win More Than $110,000

 SACRAMENTO – California Lottery players from across the state won a total of $112,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, October 23, 2004.

Jose Gomez-Lozano, a landscaper from Concord, purchased his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Stop N Save in Concord and uncovered Spin-Spin-Spin when he scratched it.  After spinning the largest lottery wheel in the world, Mr. Lozano won $40,000, and said, “It was great to spin the wheel and I plan to help my family with my winnings.”

Kathy Mitchell, a heavy equipment operator from Suisun City, was the only contestant on this week’s show to play “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine.”  Ms. Mitchell, who won $20,000, purchased her ticket at John T’s Unique Gifts in Fairfield, and said, “It was exciting to be here at the show!  I’ll be back!”

From the “Aces High” round, Veseljko Shimich, a construction worker from San Jose won the right to spin the wheel.  Mr. Shimich, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at a 7-Eleven in San Jose, spun the wheel for $30,000!  “I totally did not expect to get to spin the wheel. I’m happy with this win,” said Shimich.
