Contestants on “The Big Spin®” Show Win More Than $400,000

SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $422,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.

From the “Aces High” round, Georgia Lopez, a postal clerk from Whittier won the right to spin the wheel.  Ms. Lopez, who bought her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Wills Fargo Country Store in Baker, spun the wheel for $225,000!  “This is great, now I can pay off my mortgage,” said Lopez.

The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Erika Brand, a retiree from San Diego, who was very happy to win $75,000.  Ms. Brand plans to invest and pay bills with the winnings from the ticket she purchased at a 7-Eleven in San Diego.  The last player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Yolanda Manese, an accounting clerk from Irvine who won $70,000.  Ms. Manese, who bought her ticket at a 7-Eleven in Lakewood, plans to start a college fund for her kids with her winnings.

Martha Ochoa, a doctor’s assistant from San Jose, purchased her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Albertson’s in San Jose and uncovered “Spin-Spin-Spin” when she scratched it.  After spinning the largest prize wheel in the world and winning $30,000, Ms. Ochoa said, “It feels great to know that I now have money for my kids’ college education.”
