SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $307,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
From the “Aces High” round, Scott Lake, a custodian from Escalon won the right to spin the wheel. Lake, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Escalon Mini Mart in Escalon, spun the wheel for $75,000 and said, “I plan to take a nice vacation and pay bills.”
The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Steve Tamura, an assistant administrator from Anaheim, who was happy to win $70,000. Tamura plans to go on a big fishing trip with winnings from the ticket he purchased at U & I Gift in El Segundo. The second player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Patty Sharpe, a marketing manager from Fountain Valley who won $60,000. Sharpe, who bought her ticket at Truman Liquor in Fountain Valley, plans to go on a family vacation with her winnings.
Finishing the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” lucky streak was Cal Calderon of Tustin. Calderon, who bought his ticket at Quill Lounge in Santa Ana, won $60,000 in prize money and plans do home improvements with his winnings. Concluding the excitement was Gilberto Castro from Montclair, who went directly to the wheel and won $20,000. Castro bought a Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Liquorland & Jr. Market in Upland and scratched it to reveal Spin-Spin-Spin.
