SACRAMENTO – Twenty-one California Lottery players from across the state combined their luck to win $175,000 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, October 2, 2004.
The only player to challenge the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Dave Kim, a video store employee from Buena Park. Kim plays Fantasy 5 at a 7-Eleven in Long Beach. “It was awesome to have won this much money,” he said after winning $75,000. Kim plans to use his money towards a down payment on a home.
From the first group of ten contestants to play “Aces High,” Leticia Corral from Little Rock won the right to spin the wheel. The child care provider spun the wheel for $30,000 and said, “Spinning the wheel was a blast!” Corral plans to buy a motor home. Corral purchased her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Gallions Corner in Castaic.
When ten more “Aces High” contestants competed, Frances Flores, a distribution center employee from Azusa emerged victorious. Flores, who bought her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Azusa Liquor Market in Azusa, spun the wheel for $25,000 and said, “I plan to do home improvements my winnings.”
