SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $187,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Melanie Comarcho, a stand-up comedian from Hawthorne, who was happy to win $70,000. “I’m very happy to have won this money, and it will help with my kid’s education,” said Comarcho. She bought her ticket at Bluebird Liquor in Hawthorne. The last player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Steven Bernhardt from Glendale who won $25,000. Bernhardt, who bought his ticket at 7-Eleven in Glendale, said, “I had a great time, especially winning this money.”
Trinidad Aramburu from Merced purchased her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Shop & Save Market in Merced and uncovered “Spin-Spin-Spin” when she scratched it. After spinning the largest prize wheel in the planet and winning $30,000, Aramburu said, “I’m blessed to have won this money.”
From the “Aces High” round, Victor Berumen from Fresno won the right to spin the wheel. Berumen, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at R & S Mini Mart in Fresno, spun the wheel for $40,000 and said, “I plan to take my family on a nice vacation to Mexico with my winnings.”
