SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $557,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
From the “Aces High” round, Ilian Ontiveros, an accounting supervisor from Lomita won the right to spin the wheel. Ms. Ontiveros, who bought her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Silver Skate Liquors in Harbor City, spun the wheel for $225,000! “This is a once in a lifetime experience, I’m overwhelmed with this win,” said Ontiveros.
Sylvia Moore, a revenue agent from Los Angeles, purchased her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Sunshine Liquors in Los Angeles and uncovered “Spin-Spin-Spin” when she scratched it. After spinning the largest prize wheel in the world and winning $150,000, Ms. Moore said, “It feels great to know that I am now able to afford a house.”
The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Alvina Walizer, a retiree from Morgan Hill, who was very happy to win $95,000. Ms. Walizer plans to invest and pay bills with the winnings from the ticket she purchased at Sun Valley Market in Morgan Hill. The last player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Francisco Saldana from Salinas who won $65,000. Saldana, who bought his ticket at Harden Ranch Shell in Salinas, plans to travel to Texas with his winnings.
