SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $277,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, August 7, 2004.
The first of three players to play the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Ted Kearney, a retiree from Canyon Country. Kearny purchased his ticket at Canyon Liquor in Canyon Country and was delighted to win $95,000! After his win, Kearney said, “It was the greatest feeling to have won this
much money.” The second player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Paulette Millovitsch of Twentynine Palms. Ms. Millovitsch, who bought her ticket at Rite Aid in Twentynine Palms, won $70,000 in prize money. “I feel blessed to be here, and my husband and I are excited to take a trip to Alaska with my winnings.” Finishing the “Dream Machine” challenge was Hubert Smith from Inglewood who won $65,000. Smith, who bought his ticket at Ralph’s Liquor in Los Angeles, said, “I had fun winning this money, but I’ll have more fun sharing it with my family.”
Mark Allen from Stockton and Arlene Stukey of Santa Ana were the two survivors from round one of the “Aces High” game. In round two, Allen won a chance to spin the wheel, while Ms. Stukey won $5,000. Allen bought his ticket at Save Mart in Stockton. After he spun the wheel for $25,000, Allen said, “It was awesome to be able to spin the great wheel and win this money!
