SACRAMENTO – California Lottery players from across the state won a total of $3,127,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, July 31, 2004.
Viesta Hunter from Yucca Valley was the lucky winner who moved from the “Aces High” game to the big wheel and struck it BIG! The fun began when Ms. Hunter a student and single mother spun the wheel and on her first spin struck a TRIPLE spoke. Then, as luck had it, on her second spin, the ball landed in the $1 million slot…making her California’s latest millionaire with a $3 million win! Hunter said, “Is this for real? I can’t believe it, this feels like a dream!” Hunter said she would continue to shop at the Circle K in Yucca Valley where she bought her lucky ticket and plans on buying a house and a new car.
Debbie Beach, a florist from Lakeside, purchased her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at M. G. Liquor in San Diego and uncovered Spin-Spin-Spin when she scratched it. After spinning the largest lottery wheel in the world, Ms. Beach won $75,000, and said, “This is the most excitement I have had in a long time and I’m going to have just as much fun buying a house with my winnings.”
Sarah Kary, a businesswoman from Lennox, was the only contestant on this week’s show to play “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine.” Ms. Kary, who won $30,000, purchased her ticket at S & K Liquor Mart in Lawndale, and said, “I can now do what I have always dreamed of doing and expand my business.”
