SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $542,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
From the “Aces High” round, Edward Fleming, a retiree from Claremont won the right to spin the wheel. Fleming, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Bourbon Street Liquor in Claremont, spun the wheel for $225,000 and said, “I plan to share my winnings with my family.”
The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Connie Lejano, a retiree from Carson, who was happy to win $75,000. Lejano plans to invest and pay bills with winnings from the ticket she purchased at Royal Donuts in Carson. The second player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Bernard Martinsen from San Jose who won $75,000. Martinsen, who bought his ticket at Royal Liquors in San Jose, plans to travel to Canada with his winnings.
Finishing the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” lucky streak was James Bocanegra of Pasadena. Bocanegra, who bought his ticket at J & F Liquor in Los Angeles, won $70,000 in prize money and plans to take a vacation with his winnings. Concluding the excitement was Georgina Gaal from Norwalk, who went directly to the wheel and won $75,000. Gaal bought a Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Century Marina Liquor in Los Angeles and scratched it to reveal Spin-Spin-Spin.
