SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $282,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
The first of three players to play the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Leona LaFleur, a retiree from Los Angeles. LaFleur purchased her ticket at USA Gasoline in Marina Del Rey and was delighted to win $80,000. After her win, LaFleur said, “I’m going to buy a new car.” The second player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Ingolf Aarstad of Daly City. Aarstad, who bought his ticket at 7-Eleven in Daly City, won $70,000 in prize money and plans to take a trip to Norway with his winnings. Finishing the “Dream Machine” challenge was Tina Vasquez from Orangevale who won $10,000. Vasquez, who bought her ticket at Longs Drug in Folsom, plans to take a vacation.
Jack Tawil from La Mirada and Jenell Mesa of Bloomington were the two survivors from round one of the “Aces High” game. In round two, Mesa won a chance to spin the wheel, while Tawil won $5,000. Mesa, who bought her ticket at Valley Way Arco in Riverside, spun the wheel for $50,000. Mesa plans to pay bills and share her winnings with her family. Ending the show was Dick Solter from Venice, who went directly to the wheel and won $50,000. Solter bought a Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at 7-Eleven in Venice and scratched to reveal Spin-Spin-Spin.
