SACRAMENTO – Thirteen contestants won a total of $257,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
Salvador Figueroa and Juan Lopez both from Santa Maria were the two finalists in the “Aces High” segment of the show. In round two, Figueroa won the chance to spin the wheel, while Lopez won $5,000. Figueroa, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Oak Knoll Liquors in Orcutt, spun the wheel for $100,000! Figueroa said, “I’m going to use my winnings to buy a house.”
The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Rodney Day, a construction worker from Lakeview Terrace, who was happy to win $60,000. Day purchased his ticket at A & D Liquor in Sylmar. Day plans to invest his winnings towards his retirement. The second player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Angie Herrera from San Jose who won $55,000. Herrera, who bought her ticket at 4th St. Bowl in San Jose, plans to take a vacation with her family. Finishing the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” lucky streak was Shun Chung of Los Angeles. Chung, who bought her ticket at La Favorita Market in Los Angeles, won $20,000 in prize money and plans to take her family on a vacation with her winnings.”
