SACRAMENTO – Thirteen contestants won a total of $212,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Steve Nakahira, a painter from Burbank, who was overjoyed to win $70,000. Nakahira purchased his ticket at Sherman Oaks Union in Sherman Oaks. Nakahira plans to open a business with his winnings. The second player to step up to the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Conrad Deleon from Panorama City who won $65,000. Deleon, who bought his ticket at Island Pacific Supermarket in Panorama City, plans to take a vacation to Hawaii. Finishing the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” lucky streak was John Lane of Cerritos. Lane, who bought his ticket at Artesia Liquor in Cerritos, won $30,000 in prize money and plans to pay off bills with his winnings.
Walt Dowdy from Marina and Anna Albitre of Norwalk were the two finalists in the “Aces High” segment of the show. In round two, Dowdy won the chance to spin the wheel, while Albitre won $5,000. Dowdy, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at 7-Eleven in Marina, spun the wheel for $25,000. Dowdy said, “I’m going to use my prize money towards the purchase of an airplane.”
