California Lottery Debuts New SuperLotto Plus Announcer

Sacramento, April 14th, 2004 -- The California Lottery is pleased to welcome Staci Anderson as the new SuperLotto Plus announcer!  The SuperLotto Plus draws are broadcast in twelve television markets statewide.  “I’ve lived in California all my life so auditioning for the position was an honor and a fantastic experience!  I’m excited to take it to the next level and look forward to being part of such a fun and unique institution,” explained Anderson.

Anderson has worked in the television and radio industry for ten years.  She is currently the Group Assistant Program Director, Music Director and Imaging Director for two Northern California radio stations, and the midday host for Flash 103.9.

Born and raised in Southern California, Anderson graduated from the University of California at Davis, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994 with a major in Rhetoric and Communications.  While in college, she launched her media career as an intern at a Sacramento radio station.  Shortly after graduating, she took a job at a Redding radio station and performed voice work for television and radio.

Anderson is active in community animal organizations, including hosting an annual auction benefiting the Sacramento SPCA and sponsoring various non-profit animal charities.  Anderson resides in Sacramento with two adopted “pound puppies.”

Anderson replaces Jackie Taylor who was the SuperLotto Plus announcer since 1998 and a part of the Lottery’s “The Big Spin” Show production team since 1989.  After a 15-year tenure at the Lottery, Taylor moved on to pursue other varied professional opportunities.
