There are seven Spin-Spin-Spin contestants on this week's show. The first contestant appearing on this week's show is Ann Tran, a cashier from San Diego who wins $75,000. Tran plans to use her winnings for her children's education. Tran bought her lucky ticket at T & B Mobil Services in Huntington Beach. The second contestant is Charles Blanton, a student from Los Angeles who wins $75,000. "I'll use this money to buy a house," said Blanton. Blanton purchased his ticket at Three Jay Liquor in Los Angeles. The third contestant is Frank McGrath, a drywall specialist from Apple Valley who wins $60,000. "This money is for my kids' educations," said McGrath. McGrath bought his ticket at Arco AM/PM in Apple Valley.

The fourth contestant is Gilbert Salinas, a construction worker from Cathedral City who wins $50,000. Salinas purchased his ticket at Ultramar in Cathedral City. The fifth contestant is Alfonso Martinez, a dairy worker from Ferndale who wins $40,000. "I plan to pay off my house," said Martinez. Martinez purchased his lucky ticket at Ray's Food Place in Fortuna. The sixth contestant is Marsha Bible, a nurse from Elk Grove who wins $30,000. Bible purchased her ticket at 7-Eleven in Sacramento. The seventh and final contestant is Veries Echols, a retail salesman from Moreno Valley who wins $20,000. When asked what his plans were for his prize, Echols replied, "I plan to pay off bills and travel to Africa." Echols bought his ticket at Victoria Services in Highland.

The Spin-Spin-Spin contestants on this week's show bought a "Big Spin" Scratchers® ticket which revealed three "SPIN" symbols on one ticket, that ticket entitled them to a direct trip to the prize wheel.
The California Lottery sells its products through a network of more than 18,000 outlets statewide. The Lottery provides 52.7 percent of its revenues to players as prizes, 34.1 percent to public schools and 13.2 percent for administrative expenses, which includes 6.9 percent for retailer commissions. Since 1985, the Lottery has raised more than $14 billion for public schools. The Lottery's contribution equals approximately 2 percent of the state's total education budget. "The Big Spin®" is the longest running Lottery game show in the country, airing continuously since 1985.
