$25 MILLION WINNING TICKET FROM LOS ANGELES EXPIRES TODAY
SACRAMENTO, July 6, 2000 -- Somewhere in the state there may be the owner of an unclaimed $25 million jackpot that is ready to expire. The winning ticket for the January 8, 2000 SuperLotto draw was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 11656 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles has not been claimed and will expire on July 6, 2000. The winning numbers were 49, 14, 25, 32, 46 and 34.
Today is the last day for someone to come forward to claim this ticket, 180 days after the date of the draw. Retailers receive a one-half of 1% bonus for selling the winning ticket no matter when or if the ticket is claimed. The retailer who sold this ticket has already received a $125,000 bonus. All unclaimed prize money goes directly to education.
The new SuperLotto Plus game, which replaced SuperLotto in early June, can be played at more than 18,000 retail business establishments around the state. The SuperLotto Plus draw takes place each Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:58 p.m. Players can purchase tickets until 7:45 p.m. on the night of the draw.
