Two Lottery Tickets Sold in Northern California Await Winners to Claim Them

Sacramento - Northern California is THE place to buy Lottery tickets. Two recent winning tickets were both sold in Northern California, one in Scramento worth $15 million and one in Vallejo, worth $4 million, and both are awaiting the winners to claim them.

The first ticket was sold in Sacramento for the January 26, 2000 draw and is worth $15 million. The ticket was sold at Lichine's Liquor & Deli located at 7107 S. Land Park Drive. The retailer will receive $75,000 (or ½ of 1% of the jackpot) for selling the winning ticket. The winning numbers for that draw were 04, 08, 15, 29, 33 and 47. Of the Lottery's more than 18,000 retailers, Lichine's Liquor & Deli is the ninth highest retailer, having total sales of more than $15 million since becoming a Lottery retailer in 1985, translating into more than $5 million for public education from their sales alone.

The second ticket was sold in Vallejo for the January 15, 2000 draw and is worth $4 million. The ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 1095 Magazine Street. The retailer will receive $20,000 (or ½ of 1% of the jackpot) for selling the winning ticket. The winning numbers for that draw were 07, 10, 17, 23, 26 and 41.

Since the California Lottery began in 1985, the Lottery has contributed $11 billion to California's public schools. SuperLotto can be played at more than 18,000 retail business establishments around the state. The SuperLotto draw takes place each Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:58 p.m. Players can purchase tickets until 7:45 p.m. on the night of the draw.
