SACRAMENTO – A winning MEGA Millions® ticket sold more than a month ago remains unclaimed today. California Lottery officials would like to remind players that tickets not claimed in the first month are less likely to be claimed. So take a moment and double check your tickets at www.calottery.com. The ticket is worth $168,270.
The ticket was purchased for the November 7 draw in Chula Vista at a 7-Eleven at 1482 Hilltop Drive. The winning numbers were 14, 24, 32, 43, 44, and the Mega number was 21.
Less than 2 percent of California Lottery prizes go unclaimed. Most are claimed within the first few days after a draw.
The California Lottery wants to remind winners to sign the back of their tickets, keep tickets in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit your local Lottery District Office (http://www.calottery.com/AboutUs/Locations) as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.
More than 95 cents of every Lottery dollar is returned to the community in the form of contributions to education, prizes and retail commissions. The California Lottery contributes at least 34 cents of every dollar that players spend on Lottery products to public education and returns more than 50 percent of sales to players in the form of prizes. Since its inception in 1985, the Lottery has contributed nearly $21 billion to California schools out of total sales of more than $56 billion. Retailers benefit too, earning $3.6 billion in compensation since 1985.
